BIM-to-FM handover concept for a clinic
Defining which asset information operation needs — and how it gets from the model into CAFM.
Challenge
The operator wanted to use BIM data for maintenance, but requirements for asset information had not been defined in the planning contracts.
Solution
FM data requirements were derived from maintenance processes, mapped to model parameters and described in a handover concept including validation rules.
Results
A clear, testable definition of the asset data to be delivered, usable as part of the information requirements (AIA / EIR).
