Model-based coordination of dense building services in a laboratory environment.
Challenge
Laboratory spaces combine high air-change rates, special media supply and dense ceiling voids. Conflicts between trades were found late and caused rework.
Solution
Discipline models were coordinated in regular cycles, clashes were detected and assigned, and a shared parameter structure improved the consistency of MEP data.
Results
Conflicts were resolved in the model instead of on site, and coordinated MEP information was available for documentation and operation.
