Converting a product range into structured VDI 3805 data and native BIM objects for planners.
Challenge
Product information was spread across catalogues, spreadsheets and CAD files. Planners asked for data they could use directly in their calculation and BIM software.
Solution
Product data was structured and classified, VDI 3805 data sets were created, and native Revit families with connectors and parameters were derived from the same source.
Results
A consistent, validated data basis for the product range, maintainable through defined update and quality-check processes.
